LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. — Former Clackamas County Commissioner Melissa Fireside may have fled the country with her son ahead of an alleged financial fraud scheme that targeted an older man, according to court records.
Fireside is accused of stealing more than $30,000 from her mom's boyfriend, an 83-year-old man in Lake Oswego, unsealed court documents say.
The Oregon Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Friday that it has filed a motion to revoke the conditional release on Fireside. The DOJ provided information to the Clackamas County Circuit Court that suggested Fireside is no longer living at her listed address in Morrow County. She is required to remain in Oregon unless granted court permission to leave.
