Elon Musk's US satellite internet company, Starlink, has kick-started its first round of hiring in India with plans to conduct technical and security demonstrations in Mumbai before commencing commercial operations in the country.

The demo runs, scheduled for October 30-31, aimed to showcase preparedness before law enforcement and security officials, utilising the interim spectrum allotted to the business in order to exhibit compliance with India's regulatory standards, as per news agency PTI.

According to officials, this is a crucial pre-launch stage in obtaining final authorisations for the country's satellite broadband services.
