LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Business owners in New Albany are trying to relocate, but have found the process to be more difficult and controversial than they anticipated.
Banana Fish Tattoo Parlour opened in New Albany 12 years ago, and recently downsized, so they decided to move a few blocks from their current location.
“We’ve literally put everything we have into it,” said Amber Bananafish, who owns the shop with her husband, Gerald.
Bananafish told WAVE she’d been eyeing a house on Elm Street, a few minutes away from the shop’s current location on State Street, for years, so when it went on the market, she took the opportunity.
She said moving into the house made sense for the shop, as they’d recently downsized.
