LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A Louisville Metro Councilman is proposing new legislation that would prevent ICE agents from concealing their identities with masks.

Councilman JP Lyninger (D-6) proposed a clarification of the Louisville Mask Ordinance.

He wants no exceptions for law enforcement agencies like ICE.

Councilman Lyninger says this measure was prompted by ICE Agents regularly wearing masks during Immigration raids.

“Residents are terrified by the unaccountable and unconstitutional actions taken by ICE in recent months.
