RIVERDALE, Md. — Newly released body camera video is raising questions about a small-town police chief’s involvement in a deadly shooting last month in Prince George’s County.
The video, made public Friday, shows the moments before 45-year-old Tesfa Leith was shot and killed by Cheverly Police Chief David Morris in Riverdale in September.
Leith’s family says watching the footage has been painful.
“Everything from beginning to end was wrong,” said his sister, Shaleitha, in a phone interview. “I hope this man is charged for it because my brother did not deserve to go out that way.”
