RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — Thousands of kids marched through Raleigh neighborhoods for candy Friday night.
An exciting night for children going door to door for their favorite sweet treats.
"Obviously Skittles," one kid exclaimed.
They danced with joy once the sugar was acquired.
Many started their Halloween adventure at 6 p.m. sharp, lining up outside of the Governor's Mansion where the First Lady of North Carolina handed out candy to all.
"I love that everybody comes out together and just the community that you get," First Lady Anna Stein said.
After getting their first pieces of candy for the night, families headed over to the Historic Oakwood Community to see the notorious monster house.
"It looks scary," a trick or treater said.
