Saline Township — Residents and business owners have conflicting opinions on the controversial 250-acre data center planned for the township, but many agreed on one thing: It didn't matter what they thought; the data center would be built regardless.
The inevitability of the data center, backed by a real estate development company tied to billionaire megadonor Stephen Ross' Related Companies and tech companies Oracle and ChatGPT maker OpenAI, was why Saline Township Clerk Kelly Marion said she was the only township trustee to vote in approval of the project.
