Heroes and charity are behind a pair of beers coming off the canning line in St. Thomas. Article content
The beers are from Railway City, a lager and an amber ale, and the charity focuses on helping military veterans and first responders deal with mental health struggles.
Founded in 2019 by Andrew Gough, a medically retired army captain and police officer, Veterans and Everyday Heroes (V-EH) is based in St. Thomas with a mission to help fill gaps in medical coverage provided by the Armed Forces and first responder employers.
“Often these gaps are individual to the veteran or first responder, as they operate within different systems,” Gough said.
Often benefits only cover five visits to a mental health professional annually. Sometimes the solution is a big ticket item such as a therapy
