People traveling on Interstate 80 between Waukee and West Des Moines during the evening may run into some construction that could delay their trip.

The first day of the planned closures also overlaps with closures of the northeast mixmaster , which affects westbound lanes of I-80 and portions of Interstate 235.

When will the Iowa DOT close I-80, portions of the southwest mixmaster?

The Iowa Department of Transportation will close I-80 eastbound between Grand Prairie Parkway (exit 118) nd the southwest mixmaster connecting I-80 to Interstates 35 and 235 starting at 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3. The road will reopen at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4.

A second closure is planned from 8:30 p.m. Tuesday until 5 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5.
