(KFVS) - It will be sunny and much clearer today, but also a lot cooler.

Meteorologist Joi Alon says a cold front passed over the region, leaving us with cooler, drier air. Temperatures will be in the mid-50s as clouds are still moving out of the area.

For this evening and into the overnight hours, expect clearer conditions, allowing for more cooling to occur, which will lead to lows in the low to mid-30s.

There was a freeze warning in effect for parts of southeast Missouri this morning, but clouds overhead are keeping most of us warm enough to avoid some frost development.

Monday morning, however, you could see some frost.

Looking ahead, the work week is looking dry and pleasant, and we will be seeing a slight warm-up as high pressure sits over us.
