Quarterback Justin Herbert is the most important part of the Los Angeles Chargers offense, and left tackle Joe Alt is a close No. 2.
While the Chargers have been fortunate that Herbert hasn’t missed any time this season, the same can’t be said of Alt.
The former fifth overall pick started all 16 games he played in as a rookie, but he’s already missed four three games earlier this season with an ankle sprain, and on Sunday he was carted off the field minutes before halftime after suffering another ankle injury.
The incident happened when a Titans defender fell on Alt’s right leg as he fell backward and crumpled to the turf.
