Romo came out for the PAT, but was unable to convert the kick to keep the Falcons trailing, 24-23 late in the fourth quarter — a score they’d eventually lose by at Gillette Stadium .

The 28-year-old spent training camp with Patriots before he was cut to make room for rookie Andres Borregales . He had a strong camp and appeared more reliable than Borregales.
