CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) -- Seven people were forced from their home after a fire broke out in Cranston Sunday afternoon.
Assistant Fire Chief James Woyciechowski said crews were called to a multi-family home on Gladstone Street for reports of a fire.
Nobody suffered any injuries.
Woyciechowski said he expects crews will remain at the scene for a few more hours.
The house isn't a total loss, Woyciechowski said, but is not currently safe to be inside.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it's believed to have started in the back of the home.
The Red Cross is also helping those who were displaced.
