LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — The American Cancer Society is holding its "Shuck Cancer" event for the first time in Rhode Island on Thursday.

The event at Bally's Twin River in Lincoln will feature fresh oysters and various other foods.

Each restaurant will have its own stations, along with winery and brewery stations. There will also be live music and auctions.

Tickets are $100, which includes all food and drinks. That money will all go toward the American Cancer Society to help support cancer research and patient services.

Those who are interested can purchase tickets online or at the door.

The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
