South Bruce OPP say a Hanover man was charged with impaired driving after he was allegedly found asleep at the wheel in a live lane of traffic.
On Oct. 26 around 8:50 p.m., police say officers responded to a traffic hazard along Sideroad 30 North, south of Chesley.
Police say they were contacted by a concerned member of the public who found a recently damaged vehicle had stopped in traffic and the driver was slouched over behind the wheel.
When officers arrived the scene, they spoke with the driver and police say they detected signs of impairment.
The driver was taken into custody and police say the 21-year-old from Hanover was charged with operation while impaired and dangerous operation.
The accused is set to appear in court in Walkerton next month.
