HALIFAX, Mass. —
One person was pulled from a house fire in Halifax, Massachusetts, that claimed the lives of several animals early Monday, officials said.
Crews were called at 12:28 a.m. to the residence on Holmes Street. Upon arrival, the captain found heavy fire on the rear of the structure with one person inside.
The person who was pulled from the fire was in cardiac arrest, officials said.
Fire departments in Hanson, Plympton, Pembroke, Duxbury, Kingston and Bridgewater provided mutual aid.
The victim's condition was not released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
