WACO, Texas — Beginning today, drivers in Waco should prepare for overnight lane closures on East Loop 340.

The Texas Department of Transportation will close portions of East Loop 340 at Williams Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly. The work will begin today, Monday Nov. 3 and continue through Friday, Nov. 7.

Multiple lanes will be closed to through traffic during the construction period. According to officials, while work is being done, one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic.

Drivers and commuters traveling through the area should plan for possible delays, drive with care while moving through the work zone and use alternate routes if possible.
