Canadian Cancer Society plan to focus on reducing exposure to carcinogenic substances, better cancer detection, improved access to care and speeding up cancer research

An association of doctors has crafted a plan to stave off the spread of lung cancer that includes advocating for improving air quality, stronger tobacco policies, advancing better research and improving screening eligibility and access to treatment and diagnostics.

These measures, formulated by members of the Canadian Cancer Society who also consulted patients and caregivers, were addressed in a convention held in Calgary on Sunday.
