The National Wall of Remembrance Association (NWORA) unveiled the National Memorial to the Fallen in Macdonald Park on Saturday.
The monument is a partnership between association and the City of Kingston, dedicated to honouring Canadian veterans who lost their lives during military conflicts.

Lieut.-Colonel (retd.) Louis Cyr, the secretary treasurer of the NWORA, led the ceremony.
According to Cyr, it took 15 years of planning and fundraising for the monument to come to fruition.
The welcoming kiosk that directs visitors to the four monuments was the first to be revealed.
A significant monument of its own, the kiosk’s bronze relief was designed by artist Sylvia Pecota, a professional photographer who was on hand to shoot the event.
