High Court Judge Allan Muhome has set November 10, 2025 as the day he will deliver a ruling in the civil case where two parliamentary candidates for Blantyre City South Lunzu are challenging the Parliamentary results that were declared by the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC).

MEC declared Veronica Pempho Ndalama of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) as the rightful winner of the Parliamentary poll.

When the case resumed for hearing on Monday morning lawyer for the petitioners, Michael Goba Chipeta, told the High Court that the first respondent in the case, Veronica Pempho Ndalama, used bribes and rewards to influence voters.

Chipeta also accused the second respondent in the matter the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) abdicating its duty by failing to hear the complaint and reffere
