The Toronto Blue Jays lost Game 7 of the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a heartbreaking 5-4 extra innings loss on Saturday night in Toronto, giving the Dodgers their second consecutive title.
Much of Toronto’s current fanbase was too young to remember the Blue Jays doing the same. It was 32 years ago when the Jays snagged their second championship in a row, winning in both 1992 and 1993.

However, heads shook and tears flowed in the Jays’ dugout as dreams were dashed in the 11th inning when Will Smith slapped one to center field for a home run.
Early in the game, spirits were high in the bar room of Boston Pizza on Gardiners Road in Kingston. An absurd level of optimism ruled the room.
