Fast food is often seen as the cheapest alternative to cooking at home, but it eats up people's budgets in some places more than others, according to a September WalletHub study.
The study calculated the price of burgers, chicken sandwiches and pizza in the 100 largest cities in the United States. Then, the study compared that to the monthly median household income in each place to find where fast food costs people the greatest percentage of their earnings.
