CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — A Pittsburgh man remained jailed Monday on a six-figure bond after a pre-dawn Sunday high-speed chase that started in Lewis County and ended with his arrest in Harrison County.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office was pursuing a black Kia Forte traveling at speeds of up to 105 mph on Interstate 79 northbound, according to a court filing.
Harrison County deputies Roger King and Donald Kraemer joined the pursuit near Quiet Dell, with Kraemer deploying stop sticks in the fast lane and the suspect, Francisco Sanchez Jr., 29, of Pittsburgh, swerving into the median and driving north in the southbound lanes, the complaint alleges.
Sanchez then crossed the median again to the northbound lanes and hit 115 mph, according to King.
