(WYTV) - If a night of sleep leaves you waking up tired, you could have an undiagnosed condition that's risking your health. But there is help. Know the signs.

In a new survey from the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, almost half of Americans think being sleepy during the day means they just didn't get enough sleep, but sleep apnea could be interrupting seven to eight hours of sleep.

It's not just affecting older and overweight adults but younger people.

"People and their bed partners are more aware that if they see someone snoring and gasping and look like they're having trouble breathing in sleep, that they should get an evaluation," said sleep medicine specialist Dr. Meena Khan.
