Reynolds boys cross-country won its first state championship in program history on Nov. 1.
It edged out Mount Tabor 66 to 74 for the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 6A state title at the Ivey Redmon Sports Complex in Kernersville.
The Rockets had three runners place in the top 15. Senior Gus Simmons finished fourth with a time of 16 minutes, 8 seconds. Alex Rawlings and Julian Coladonato finished eighth and 11th with times of 16:23.94 and 16:41.40, respectively.
