MARS HILL - Two people were shot at a Mars Hill residence Nov. 1, the Mars Hill Police Department confirmed.

According to Mars Hill Police Chief Chad Wilson, the shooting occurred in the early hours of Nov. 1 at a South Main Street residence used for short-term rentals, where a large Halloween party involving individuals from outside of Mars Hill was being held.
