CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Corvallis-Albany Farmers’ Markets are taking action to ensure SNAP customers continue accessing fresh produce despite the federal cutoff of November SNAP funds.
According to the market organization, a temporary emergency program will allow these customers to receive Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) starting Nov. 1. Shoppers can bring their SNAP cards to designated market booths to get DUFB, which can match up to $20 for local produce. This initiative ensures families have access to quality foods, essential for school and home activities.
The Albany Farmers’ Market operates at 4th and Ellsworth, while the Corvallis Farmers’ Market is at 1st and Jackson. Both markets are open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., providing a wide range of fresh produce and storage foods.
