MONTPELIER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) - Vermont's Economic Development Authority is reportedly opening their Disaster Recovery Loan Fund for those impacted by the recent drought.

These funds are specifically from nonprofits, agricultural operations and business that have felt the drought most.

VEDA CEO Joan Goldstein says that “To provide relief as quickly as possible, VEDA is standing by to process Disaster Recovery Loan Fund applications as they come in.”

This announcement comes after a letter to VEDA CEO Joan Goldstein was signed by Vermont officials like Commerce Secretary Lindsay Kurrle, Agriculture Secretary Anson Tebbetts and more. They want Vermont agricultural businesses be able to access VEDA’s fund.
