SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Shreveport police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on Greenwood Road .

Demarcus L. Brown, 33, was arrested on charges of felony hit and run and obstruction of justice in connection to the Oct. 20 crash.

Police responded to the 3300 block of Greenwood Road at approximately 9:17 p.m. Oct. 20 after reports of a major hit-and-run crash. Officers found Dwayne Kinchen lying unresponsive in the roadway.

Kinchen was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A witness reported that Kinchen was seated in the middle of the eastbound travel lane when a white pickup truck traveling eastbound struck him and fled the scene.

Police were able to identify Brown as the driver of the truck.
