VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY)-- A teenager is hurt after being shot by another teenager in Virginia Beach Sunday evening.
According to police, officers were called to the 5700 block of Schoolhouse Road just after 6 p.m. for the report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to the local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After investigating, police determined the shooting was accidental.
As a result, police arrested a 16-year-old boy. He faces the following charges: • Reckless Handling of a Firearm • Discharging a Firearm in a Building • Possession of a Firearm by a Minor
This incident remains under investigation by the VBPD Detective Bureau.
