ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Police say a man stole a vehicle, and then crashed it into a parked ambulance and a building when trying to flee police.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, on Monday, just before noon, detectives with the Anti-Crime Task Force were chasing a man in a stolen car near downtown.
Police say they spiked the vehicle, but the man continued to try to flee. At this point, police say the car crashed into a parked ambulance and a building at the 8300 block of N. Broadway.
Police say the man driving the stolen car was transported to the hospital. There are currently no updates on his condition, but police say that he was conscious and breathing.
