Senator John Curtis continues to push the ‘Fix Our Forests Act’ forward that was introduced this year to combat wildfires and streamline federal forest management. If passed, the Fix Our Forests Act will establish new and updated programs to reduce wildfire risks across large, high-priority ‘firesheds’, with an emphasis on cross-boundary collaboration. There is bipartisan support behind it as the risk of wildfire crosses political boundaries in the many states that have been devastated by wildfires.
