A real NASA astronaut visited the Uintah Basin last week, inspiring students and adults alike. Uintah School District reported that it was a great experience. “Students from elementary schools across the district in the gifted and talented program had an out-of-this world experience thanks to our educational partners at Uintah Basin Technical College,” shared Uintah School District. “The students had the opportunity to hear NASA astronaut Richard ‘Ricky’ Arnold speak about his education, training, and experiences in space. Arnold traveled to space twice, once aboard the Space Shuttle and once aboard a Soyuz capsule.
