The Chico Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured Saturday night.

Police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of E. 20th Street at 10:41 p.m. “and located evidence of a shooting,” after receiving reports of gun shots, stated a release from the department. The injured person was treated at a hospital for a “non-life-threatening gunshot wound.”

The investigation is ongoing, and Chico police are asking anyone with information to call (530) 897-4911 and reference case 25-007721.
