Multiple storms are expected to move through Northern California with showers expected into next week.

The harshest weather is expected on Wednesday which has a chance of seeing rainfall, high winds, thunderstorms and mountain snow showers, according to a forecast by the National Weather Service’s Sacramento office.

Wind gusts could range between 35 and 45 miles per hour in the valley and foothill areas. Further south in the delta, wind could reach as high as 55 miles per hour.

While the rain is expected to last into Friday, it will likely lighten with time before starting again Sunday. Saturday will see a brief break in the stormy weather. It is noted that Chico could see between one and one and a half inches of rainfall total.
