Wind advisory issued for 3 Massachusetts counties until Tuesday evening

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 1:31 p.m. on Monday valid from 10 p.m. until Tuesday 7 p.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.

The weather service describes, “West winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and some power outages may result,” explains the weather service. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”
