A scary situation playing out over the weekend in New Haven.

An 18-year-old girl is dead, and another 18-year-old girl injured along with two 21-year-old men. Police don’t believe they were involved in the shooting.

Neighbors tell us they had been watching a crowd grow and gather of the course of Halloween night.

“The crowd started getting really big 8/9/10 o clock, like a thousand people and the club is not fit to hold that many people,” Bill Dully, who lives on Center Street, said.

He said he had called police a few times and they had come to break up some crowds. But after 2 a.m. Saturday, he woke up to gunfire.
