It was a big week for the Yorkton Terriers — both on the ice and on the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League awards list.

Leading the way was Yorkton’s own Jye Zawatsky, who was named the Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week. The veteran forward scored three goals and added two assists over three games, helping the Terriers to a pair of important wins. Zawatsky now has points in eight of his last nine games and continues to be a steady leader for his hometown team.

Rookie forward Cash Lanigan earned the SaskMilk Rookie of the Week title after scoring his first career hat trick in a win over the Battlefords North Stars. Lanigan totaled four points in two games and continues to impress as one of the top 2008-born players in the league.
