A longtime Alaska air service provider has suspended operations.
Kenai Aviation, which offers daily flights out of Kenai and Anchorage, has ceased all flight operations. Owner Joel Caldwell says the company is financially insolvent but adds he hopes this isn’t the end for Kenai Aviation.
In a statement posted to social media , the company said, “We need capital, we need partners, we need a lifeline. That investor is out there, we just need to find them.”
Kenai Aviation has been serving the Kenai Peninsula since 1961.
No word yet on whether any potential investors have come forward.
