MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Arkansas Department of Transportation says Interstate 55 will be closed next weekend to perform bridge joint repairs.

ARDOT said that I-55 will be closed beginning at exit 1 at Bridgeport Road in Arkansas. They said before the closure I-55 will go down to one lane at exit 4 at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive/Highway 38.

The closure is said to extend through exit 12 at Crump Boulevard and Riverside Drive in Memphis.

The dates and times of the closure are as follows: • I-55 South: 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 15, through 8 p.m. Sunday, November 16 • I-55 North: 12:01 a.m. Saturday, November 15, through 6 p.m. Tuesday, November 18
