CINCINNATI —
It's one of the happiest days of the year-- National Adoption Day. And on Monday, it was all about love, family and new beginnings.
Nineteen children officially found their forever homes with 13 families in Hamilton County. David and Lynn Funck were the oldest parents adopting Monday, something David says they're proud of. Advertisement
“Brayden came to us when he was 8 months, and as things progressed, it seemed he wouldn't be reunited with his family,” David said. “But we became his family. We felt it was important to tell people and to show people that it doesn't matter what age you are.”
The Funcks have been foster parents for over nine years, helping more than 100 kids. But Monday, they made a permanent addition.
“It doesn't matter whether he calls us mom and dad,”
