LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Lordstown Village Council voted to ban a proposed data center in the village.

The vote happened Monday night at the Lordstown Village Council meeting.

Bristolville 25 Developer LLC wants to build the data center on 133 acres in both Trumbull and Mahoning counties, employing 120 full-time employees with an average wage of over $84 an hour. Bristoville made an application for a site plan review process on Oct. 20. The company estimates a capital investment of $3.6 billion and that it will employ an estimated 1,600 laborers to construct the facility.
