CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) -- Illinois's 2025-26 season is off on the right foot with a win over Jackson State.

The Illini, ranked No. 17 in the AP Preseason Top 25, won 113-55 in the first regular-season game of the year. Tomislav Ivisic and Ben Humrichous led the scoring effort with 21 points each, plus another double-double from David Mirkovic with 19 points and 14 rebounds.

Illinois led 60-27 at the half, going on a 17-0 scoring run early. Jake Davis scored 13 points for his new high at Illinois, and fans got to see the Ivisic twins on the court together for the first time/
