PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Several high school sports facilities in Putnam County are getting some upgrades.
During Monday night’s Board of Education meeting, we learned that Hurricane High School, Winfield High School, and Poca High School are all set to get improved football fields.
The school board is expecting the work to be finished by July 31, 2026. Some of the other upgrades include improved bleachers and press boxes.
School board officials say bids for the projects open on Nov. 19.
