KEYSER, W.Va. — WVU owner and President Brian Jarvis has announced the promotion of longtime Mineral News & Tribune employee Barb High to editor.

High has been employed at the Mineral News & Tribune for more than 15 years. She moves into the post that long had been filled by Liz Beavers, who is retiring after a total of 20 years as editor of the News & Tribune, 35 years working for the company, and 44 years as professional journalist. Beavers still will work part-time for the News & Tribune.

High is excited to take the next step in her journalism career.
