In Cumberland County, growth brings traffic, and traffic brings growth

When there is a land use battle in Cumberland County, it usually doesn’t take long before someone brings up traffic.

That’s true, the county’s Planning Director Kirk Stoner said recently, whether the issue at hand is the county’s first Costco on the swelling Carlisle Pike , the next warehouse center along the Interstate 81 corridor or new “luxury apartments” on what used to be the outskirts of town.
