Dionne, Jr. Outside hitter and setter Keira Mullen made 10 kills as the East Providence girls volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (25-9, 25-14, 25-17) victory over East Greenwich during a D-1 quarterfinals home match on Thursday night. The 15-2 Townies move on to face 13-4 La Salle in the semifinals at RIC on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. Mullen also dished out 10 assists and made 2 aces during the match. “I wanted to make the most of the season and take it a step further than last season,” Mullen said after the game. Last season the talented Townies fell short of their bid for the championship, losing a 5-set match to Portsmouth in the semifinals.
