RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. —

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department said it is investigating a report of a man cussing, yelling and making a scene inside a South Carolina church after banging on the door to get inside.

The sheriff's office said it is aware of social media posts regarding a man interrupting multiple church and making threats. However, they said they have only gotten one report, which was made on Oct. 16 about an incident that happened Oct. 12.

Deputies said a churchgoer came to the sheriff's office on Oct. 16 to report an incident at Trinity Point Church on Garners Ferry Road that happened Oct. 12.

When asked why they didn't report in the incident on the day it happened, the churchgoer said they were unsure what could be done or if they needed to report it.
