Portions of Morrissey Boulevard could close this week due to expected high tide flooding.
The closures could occur during midday high tides from Tuesday to Sunday, according to the Mass. Department of Conservation & Recreation.
DCR is preparing to close the boulevard in both directions from Freeport Street to Bianculli Boulevard near UMass Boston if flooding occurs.
“Traffic patterns will be clearly marked, and DCR operations staff will be on site,” DCR said in an advisory. Police may also close the off ramp to I-93, if needed, DCR says.
The high tides are expected to reach around 12 feet once per day from Nov. 4 to Nov. 9, DCR announced.
