GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - The results are in for Big Idea Grand Island 2025 and the top prize goes to Walnut Middle School teacher Blake Teichmeier.
The event happened Monday night at the Grand Theatre and was hosted by Central Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center.
The event is based on the popular TV show Shark Tank and gives contestants two minutes to present their pitches to a panel of judges and a live audience.
Teichmeier is the founder of greatcents.org , which is a platform dedicated to making financial literacy available to all, but particularly middle school students.
After winning the event, he said he hopes his creation helps people to understand how important managing money is to everyday life.
